After careful consideration, advice from experts and conversation with partners, Wesley is beginning to resume limited in-person services.

Starting Monday, June 8, we will be holding summer day camp for a limited number of youth who are already enrolled in our programs. We are reducing the size of the program, increasing the adult: child ratio and ramping up cleaning and sanitizing. Wesley will follow recent State of Texas guidelines for the safe operation of child care programs. We will also offer a virtual camp for kids with fun summer activities away from the computer.

Our case managers and coaches will be meeting with new clients on an appointment-only basis. All precautions are being taken including temperature checks and mask wearing requirements. We have increased cleaning routines to ensure that all spaces are disinfected following each client.

We know the needs are great. Wesley continues to serve by phone people who need emergency financial assistance. Anyone seeking financial assistance should call 713-223-8131. We continue to operate our Food Pantry at 1235 Lorraine St. on Wednesday and Fridays from 9am to noon.  And we continue to provide Financial Opportunity Center classes, workshops and coaching remotely.

We plan to resume services for preschoolers, infants and toddlers later this summer. When it is safe to do so, we will also bring back our senior congregate program. Please watch our social media for updates.
